This page is created by a journalism student to share what living with anxiety is like; in all of its different colors. If you or someone you love suffers from this commonly silent disease, feel free to take a look around.

My road to diagnosis:

It started with stomach pains as a young teenager. They were frequent and painful. Talking with several friends and doctors, we came to the self-decided conclusion that it must be what I am eating. After food journals and close monitoring, it seemed there were trigger foods. This is how I spent six years of my life avoiding gluten and dairy. As I entered adulthood, these dietary changes were not enough. I often found myself laying on a hard floor curled in a ball or stretched out totally flat nursing a bloated stomach that was hard as a rock.

Deciding there had to be more I was missing, I went to the doctor for testing. When the results came in, I was shocked to discover that I had no food allergies or food intolerance at all. All of the pain I was feeling stemmed from frequent spasms in my colon. The cause of this? Stress and anxiety.

I had always known that I worried and thought more than most people; but I had never considered an anxiety issue.

This day led to my journey of anxiety education and a journey to discover more about myself.

Along my way I have found many enchanting facts, practices, exercises, supplements, funny memes and a new outlook on life; Here are my discoveries......

If I am not worrying, then I am worried that there is something I am forgetting to worry about
